Days of Jeremiah

We Christians sing and speak often of 'The Days of Eligah'. We say and proclaim that we are presently living in "The Days of Eligah'. Is it because we long for miracles? Is it Because we anticipate gushing rains of revival? Is it Because the evils of Ahab and Jezebel are knocking at our door steps? There is no denying the reality of all the above, And we could very well be right about the seasons and the times. I could be wrong, but I beg to differ about our present days. May I suggest that these are 'The Days of Jeremiah'? Days of More weeping, interceding, uncompromising, and repenting? Days of willingness to obey, and for Christians in both pulpits and pews without compromise to say, "Thus says The Lord"? In time, we will assuredly have our 'Days of Eligah' with its Explosive confrontations, encounters, conflicts, decisiveness. In time, an expansion of governmental and political clashing. Such fiery days are vastly different from 'The Days of Jeremiah'. I contend that for Christians, these are 'The Days of Jeremiah'. Jeremiah was the weeping prophet with fires burning deep within. He was infused with a fire that could not be quenched. His task was to plea for God's people to return to Him if ever judgment was to be averted. I could be wrong, but I believe that 'The Days of Eligah' stands willingly, and readily waits for the fulfillment of 'The Days of Jeremiah'. 093021PS
