Days Like These
On days like these, where rain don't fall
Reminders we once had it all
And life stretched on for eternity
As though summer nights where made for me
Sore grazed knees from climbing trees
To catch the last breath of the dusk-ridden breeze
Entertain dreams we could make this time freeze
I want my last ones to be days like these.
It's nights just like this, I'm craving them too
Every thought, invaded by you
Ignore shooting stars, I've nothing to wish
Since claiming your heart, all I need to exist
And I never knew life could be utter bliss
As the hardest of days are erased by one kiss
You'd have to extract my hand from my wrist
To make me let go, of nights like this.
