Days Ahead

The days ahead lie hard and long
With time ticking fast and strong
Throwing confusing options my way
And unknown paths, right or wrong.

I wish life came with a manual
Maybe some aid, audio or visual
To overcome certain chapters
Until it became habitual.

As i see it, my life is a boat
Trying its best to stay afloat
Struggling against the strong winds
With chances of making it, remote.

Or i wonder, is it all in people in-built?
To keep balance when there's a tilt
To know exactly who they want to be
And to keep the boat till the shore, adrift.

But after all this futile pondering
With nothing but worry lingering
I realize that i have gotten thus far
And that in itself, is something.

So maybe there is no specific rule
As such, to motor through this life cruel
But my worry and overthinking
Is definitely not its key or fuel.

Well thought and done! People who know exactly what they want to do with their life - and how to accomplish it - are rare birds indeed! Aloha!
