Daylight - Poetry Food - Not Just Soup

There is something about you
That just makes me smile
But when I wake up
I will normally wait awhile
Until I am fully wide-awake and you are awake to
I am then ready to take on all that is new

So I then reach out to my mobile device
For that is my big sin
But it’s time to read what you have wrote
As sometimes you share with me a joke
Not just throw mine in the bin

Poetry my dear friend
Is where my life starts and ends
It keeps me going and not knowing
What the day may bring

So when I go to sleep tonight
I look forward to the new daylight
And yet another new beginning

Of Poetry Food
