Daydreams
As daydreams drift along the wind,
to distant shores my mind does wander,
tender thoughts of life and love
within these dreams I always ponder...
I’m taken back to younger days,
the carefree times and endless sunshine;
summer nights, good friends and cheer,
and morning walks along the shoreline.
And thoughts of lovers from the past,
sweet memories of tender passion,
through my life have come and gone,
yet fill my thoughts in pleasant fashion.
But now as days are growing short,
I’m thinking of the time I squandered,
still I think of times gone by
as daydreams through my mind still wander.
