Daydreams
Lonely as I
aimlessly drift
asking if now
wouldn't be best,
or surely later
rather than sooner
quietly moving
within my chest.
Frayed and torn
reaching for air
only to yield
a pleading cry,
what once was blue
has turned to black
as I gaze into
the hollow sky.
