Daydreaming Soulseekers

Listen to poem:
Looking outward. She’s had a hard life, yet can still laugh and smile, making it look effortless and genuine. Looking bubbly and youthful, glowing from happiness like she knows no other way to live. I’d like to understand -- I really would. She’s more than a survivor -- she’s a champ. Looking within. I have finally earned my bit of comfort. I should feel light and worry-free. I should be blissfully happy. I should look at who I’ve let within my circle. The negatives who've dragged me down: the procrastinators, whiners, drama queens and naysayers. I so need to unclutter and make room for daydreaming soulseekers and inspiring artists. AP: Honorable Mention 2020 Posted on December 14, 2018

LOL love your calling this planet a marble... especially when it seems so many of us have lost our marbles, Timothy.

Wise and insightful poem... ;) As Isabelle Mercier says, "Don't be afraid to speak your truth. If you can't say no to what you DON'T want, you will never have the time and the energy for what you DO want!"

You are most welcome! If you ever have the time, you can listen to her whole TEDx talk on YouTube... it's called "The Power of Zero Tolerance".

I like this...had to "fav" as I'll want to reread again and again. I love the way you have penned the imagery.

powerfully penned Line, I think many of us can relate to some if not all of your poem - love the uplifting final stanza and do surround yourself with people who aren't going to pull you down but support you - I know I would never have got through the most difficult time in my life if I hadn't started writing and get support from amazing friends especially when family let me down so badly:-( :-) hugs jan xx

Thanks for your lovely visit and comment, Jan. Ironic how family is who can hurt you the most - and pure strangers can be there to pick us up... Angels sent on our path?
