Beautiful uplifting poem Jan, so deserving of your podium win. I am always up to see the sunrise and this morning over Eastbourne there was the most vividly coloured sky of deep purples, oranges and red it was truly stunning. Like your poem the sunrise always lifts my spirit and fills me with joy for the day ahead. Many congrats Jan. With kindest thoughts Ann xx

Indeed! The emotional beauty of your poem is tinted with melancholy like the leaves tinged with color in early autumn. Superb and affecting poetry, Jan. Best wishes for a win and warmest wishes always.. ~Susan

A lovely poem Jan - my favorite time to see the sun rising is when we go down to the coast as we leave at about 4.00 in the morning when it is still pitch dark. Good luck in the contest. Hugs, Jennifer.

Apaches rise before dawn to greet the sun with prayers of thanks for another day with another opportunity to make this world a better place for ALL creatures to live in harmony. Isn't it strange that the sun rises every morning, yet most people still can not perceive the web of life? Good luck in the contest! Aloha! Rico

Indeed, we often take the beauty of nature for granted. Glad you are a "Carpe' Diem" type lady. You did a great job with this form, Jan. I don't think all the syllable counts would work for me, but you handled them masterfully. Best wishes in the contest! Hugs, Carolyn

What a wonderful way to start my day reading your lovely poem, Jan. So much beauty and charm in your vibrant depiction as your poem begins--and so much wisdom in the ending words. All accomplished in just a few lines. Superb!!
