Day Dream

My thoughts bring you to me
Whenever you're not here
I see your likeness
I hear your melodies
I smell your fragrance
I long for your presence
As I envision one perfect love
Full of peace there is no fear
To feel your form
To taste your fancy
To know your frame
But this day is so virtual
As I wonder beyond reality
We engage in a pantomime
And I am lost in all my senses
Here alone in my room
Staring out clear windows
The shutters are wide open
The wind is within my curtains
And I find my soul desires no blink
Whenever you're not here
I hold your portrait so close
Dreaming of your beautiful figure
Waiting for you to be more than an image
