Dawn's Eve

deep sleep: day’s mirth reposed in darkness. bed snores undisturbed. cool pillows, cosset of silky sheets. awakening: dawn’s eve bestows - exhumed mysteries, words that breathe from a restless book, and undisturbed petition. second sleep: decompressed pillow sighs. burdens rest on heaven’s chest. a seed buried in quietude illuminates on silver wings, as my midnight eyes close before sunrise. 5/6/2017
