Dawn of a New Day

Uneasy sleep
as questions float by
     in our dreams
    We await the dawn
Our skin is cold
     yet our hearts are warm
Let the "angry ghosts of despair"
Fly out of our consciousness
    We are not without
       resources
We can change
and we can feel the warmth
   of another spring
as it blossoms within and without us
Listen to the poetry of the planet
It is telling us something
      Listen!
In the depths of space
We have a place to plant
our small, very personal flag
