Dawn

I love sweet morning melodies and a wild stream bubbling along horses grazing in a meadow a forest echoing my name the murmur of leaves rustling and the hum of bees oh, the flutter of butterflies the choir of birds singing- I love the whistling wind and the soothing calm it brings the placid yellow of buttercups and clouds that sail silently- I breathe in the mystery of nature's melancholy and sigh my heart is awed within for the beauty of day and welcome each dawn's beginning when I put the past away in the silence of nature- ______________________________________ May 20, 2020 (Edit from September 15, 2019) Poetry/Free Verse/Dawn Copyright Protected, ID 20-1253-549-03 All Rights Reserved, 2020, Constance La France Submitted to Brian's Choice N Contest sponsor, Brian Strand Second Place
