This poem exhibits some remorse at having to drop participation in an activity once revered. I sense injury, physical or/and emotional, plays its part in this charade. .... Jake

oh, Jake, you clever fellow! At age 38 an auto accident ended an avid climber's former life as a white whiter rafter/high adventure life....bird watching doesn't quite cut it, but I am trying!
