darts on the radio

i'm in bed
each thump of the dart
hitting the cork
in the darkness
my heart quickens
and death envelopes.
time and waiting for dawn

suddenly the ear buds disconnect
there is a thud
another one
then another

my wife is disturbed by the racket
the announcement yowled of '180' wakes her
galaxative
