I live with family memers who suffer and so I try to understand and help. This is dedicated to them.

Un-illuminated is his life
Even the night is starless
Concealed in pathways of his mind
Darkness creeps between sense and sanity

Consequence of this mental distress
Reaching and pulling the dearest who reside
Downward current to an explosive land mine
Will the absence of glorious light return to his chamber

Terrible debilitation; this work says a lot about the condition. There is hope. Hang in there all. Prayer and faith can do miracles. Not to say, you will not battle...but God and you are a majority.

A deep poem Margaret about the darkness some people experience and live with and its effects on loved ones. Beautifully written with poignant poetic expression throughout, but to me, your first stanza is superb in emotive imagery...
