Dark Side of My Mind

I remember
Falling into the depths
Of your eyes

Laughter
Like the sweetest music
Filling my ears

Radiant and quirky
A personality splashed across a canvas
So beautifully

Every moment
With you is so precious
To me

I think of you
And all of the things I want to say
But don't

I look at me
Knowing I'm out of my depth
With you

But I'm fine
Simply getting to meet you
Fills me with joy

But deep down
I think you're my soulmate slipping away
Like sand in a breeze

I can't find you
Because in the end I'm too busy
Finding myself

And yet you found me
Helping erase layers of depression
By being you

I feel motivated
To become a better man
Than I was

In the dark side of my mind
You were the sun that shined light
And saved me

I just hope
You find someone to light up your mind
Like you did mine
