Dark Shadows Part 2
I stalk my prey in the silence
Night shrouds everything around us
Threading our way over the hills, around trees
Hearing nothing, my prey knows not of me
With every step I get closer, I see his sweat
Closing in on my soon to be score
Only the moon to light his way this night
Hoping the moon will reveal his beautiful fright
Listening intently to his heartbeat
Daring to lean for a moment against a tree
While he rests to reassure himself
Refusing to believe in monsters like me
Killing is always the sweetest embrace
The shadows hiding my face
Heeding the warnings of my father
Belonging to the Earth, within Nature
Dancing in circles around him now
Only the two of us in this dark realm
He whispers "are you going to hurt me?"
Confused, I slowly fade back into the shadows

Part 2
I have heard ofsuch creatures before
Always, I had dismissed them as lore
Prey, who knew of us, could speak
What to do? Have to act quickly, think
I step forward so he can see me clearly
Tell him what I intend, eyes searing
Can't behold the unicorn as special, another kill
He said "Do you have to?" "My Father's will"
I would like to spend some time with you though"
My confusion growing into something I can't control
"Just don't let Father know"
A mantra I say over and over, a prayer
I command "Take me to your lair"
He looks upset and says he had a cabin
I'm interested in learning more about the humans.
