Dark Light

I was locked up in a dark corner
Stripped all my medals and honor
Subjected to a life of a loner
It was a life changing phase
A memory that’s impossible to erase
I felt like I saw the devil straight in the face
But thanks to my grace
I am no longer running a race
The truth finally surface
And my life is now in Place
The little I have is what I embrace
People I no longer chase
If it’s distance they want I give them space
