Danny Boy
Questioning thy core, I see
just a simple picture
squared
a photograph
of thee.
Shyness seems to shine
in tilt of head
and hair veiled eyes
a snap shot
of thee.
Yet, I can sense a humor too
a tone of voice in text
askew
the illusion
of thee.
How unkind it is you know,
to make me guess
I do not know,
show yourself
to me.
Or I will bring a brave retort
and make you guess
just for sport
what you’ve sensed
of me.
