Dangerous Voices

There are those deadly thoughts
Trying to take you over
It’s like a little voice in your head
Sending you messages
Telling you you’re not loved
Making you feel worthless and invisible
It makes you want to cry yourself to sleep
Makes you feel weak
Because you’ve become a slave to its feelings
Unable to escape from its prison
Its jail of deadly feeling and thoughts
You have to try to release yourself from its grasp
Try to tell yourself that you’re alive for a reason
That your life has meaning
A special purpose
You must break free...
