I remember my daughter at a very early age always wanting to blow on them to see- "the snow fly daddy", as she would so very happily say. Your poetic words stirred such a beloved memory my friend. Thanks... God bless... A fav...

Love this Paul Dandelions are great. They have beautiful flowers and if you make a wish and puff on the seed heads if all of them float away your wish will come true. Also there is more iron in the leaves than in spinach. You can eat them in a salad or boil them and eat them with a boiled egg like spinach. Great poem.God Bless and good luck in the contest. JB

Thank you for reading and for the feedback, Judy. Yes, dandelions are good to eat, especially raw, when they are fresh and young. They can also be steamed or added to a stir-fry. ~ Best regards // paul

We used to call these "milkweeds" when I was a child. It was always fun to see them released into the air. Sometimes we gave the wind a bit of help :) Your haiku skills are remarkable! Hugs, Carolyn
