Dancing Sparks

the wood was too green
above the flames the sparks danced
          the fire gave its warmth

Thanks, Linda, a repost with a few changes. I deleted all my poems and started over. LOL So I'll edit some of the ones I really liked and repost them along with the new ones. I'm also going to post the 6 that were in the two Poetry Soup Anthologies my poems were in. I shouldn't have deleted those 6 for sure. Have a great week, my friend. Bill

If you want sparks, green is the name of the game when building a fire. Thanks for the visits, Kim. I'll start reading and commenting soon, my friend. Bill

Great Haiku, Tex, indeed green wood burns poorly, making ignition hard. Wood is moist, but life and motion persist. Fire feeds and comforts despite weak fuel and blazing rejection. This may reflect resilience, demonstrating the ability to retain warmth and a sense of connection despite difficulties.
