Dancing Moonbeams
The suns rays fade softly as
daylight melts into night
and mysterious moonbeams
glow even bigger
as the moonlight stretching across
the waters mirrored surface
enchanting ambient beams
dance upon the dark gray
water of the lake floating on
the night's whispering breeze
Touching on the waters
edge kissing the beach
silver beams caress the
warm sand not wishing to
disturb any hidden lovers
left in its darkness
When its time to float back on
the night's soft breeze to
continuing its dance with the
water as it begins to transform
back into the suns rays
warming the chilled water
dawn slowly steals back its turn
To become daylight again
nudging the shrinking moon
back to be lost in the light skies
