Dancing Along An Eternal Chord

I dance
dance along the edge of understanding
trying to glimpse the eternal
within the temporary
expanding beyond my limitations

A tune
flows from an unseen musician
pouring into my crevices
permeating 
freeing 
bubbling 
gushing 
joining me with the millions
the other seekers
lonely unconnected dancers
searching for hidden answers

I hear
I feel
a ribboned connection
stronger than steel
within the eternal I kneel
knowing the temporary is not what's real

My heart dances
celebrates
skips along elevated beats
my inner self does not retreat
hungry for more
I let my soul eat
until I am sated 
satisfied
my vision intensified 
a temporal world
beyond the now
is
was
always
will be
magnified
the complicated simplified
child like wonder
amplified

I hear with the inner me
the part that was formed to be 
free
my eternal dancer
who feels beyond 
now
today
it's not about an answer
I exist
within the chord
of the great
the magnificent 
Maestro

The inevitable eternal, but never to not enjoy the pleasures of the world before you now. As Lao tzu once said, "It is better to travel well than reach the end."
