Dance

I wasn't ready for him, I just wasn't ready
As I started out I was hesitant
But He kept calling to me
The music increased and so I decided to move in closer
He said, 'I'll wait until you're ready'
I wanted to be in the center so bad, but life's past held me back
His patience took me by surprise, no one was that understanding!
After a while I was ready, so I moved to the center
The music started up and I looked to the left but he was gone, I look to the right he wasn't there either.
I hung my head low as I realize once again I blew it, and then I felt his presence near me.
He took my hand and said, "I've been waiting a long time for you."
I realized at that moment life will never be the same again, as we danced.
Because I was worth waiting for, and we danced.
