Dalai Lama

He was only sixteen when his nation
was invaded by China -
they claim Tibet is part of their territory.
From a Tibetan Head of State and Government,
he became a refugee in India.
Since then,
he has been seeking freedom for his people
by holding talks with Chinese leaders.
He has also advocated for peaceful demonstrations,
while teaching about love, compassion,
peace, and love all around the world.
As most leaders hold grudges to their enemies,
the Dalai Lama has expressed calmness
and co-operation with his Chinese counterparts.
An epitome of peace he is,
he was awarded a Nobel Peace Prize in 1989.
He's an inspiration to me,
as a patient, compassionate, and peace-loving man.
