Dagger of Peace

Pinchus'* weapon was his dagger his dagger of peace He stopped a plague in its tracks with his dagger of peace The plague had killed 24,000 who'd stooped to depravity Until Pinchus drew out his dagger of peace There are times and occasions when peace necessitates a weapon Naivete suggests you flatter and fawn ~ I recommend you hold onto your gun ___________________________________ *'Phineas' is the Anglicization of the Hebrew name, Pinchus, the grandson of Aaron... This poem is drawn from Numbers 25: 5-15.

Pinchus did get it right. Shows you what a little bravery can accomplish in a world of me-tooers and fraidy cats: His reward was eternal! Thanks, John
