Daddy By Your Bed
Sweet dreams my little one,
place your head on my knee.
I will sing of someone
who dreams a dream for thee.
Let heavy eyelids close
and drift on happy sleep,
in gentle soft repose
in Daddy’s arms to keep.
Pretend that fragrant rose
buds cover you to warm,
and Daddy’s arms full close
to keep you from all harm.
So sweet dreams little one
and fret not your sweet head.
You’re safe when day is done
with Daddy by your bed.
