Daddy

A wild mustang that could not be tamed An eagle gone like the wind along the plains You left us too early before the dawn Our darling Daddy, where have you gone? You brought us such joy with your stories of far and away Bringing us to places where our imaginations wanted to stay. A free-spirit who lived life to the fullest each day Always loving your family and illuminating the way I still wonder why God wanted your footprints so early in the sand If he only knew what I would give to hear your voice say…. “Holly Ann” Daddy, I love you and forever will Until I see you again, when the mustangs stop running and remain still.
