Dad
Dad,
I would bargain with God
For your return
But I know your suffering has ended
It would be selfish of me
To take your peace
And that’s not what you have taught me
I will always want you back
Your time with me so brief
Sometimes I feel I can’t go on
But that’s not what you have taught me
Please guide my every step
And gently watch over me
I will always be your little girl
And that’s what you always taught me
