Cutthroat

Sharpened knives...
     are out as the...
          warring...
               politicians...
                    cross swords, slice and dice
                         necks open...
                              to seize...

election...
     glory.
          Incessant
               attack ads,
                    snarky exchanges;
                         no effort made to play...
                              nice.

It's kill or be killed!
