Thank you Constance! My mum loved Roxy Music and Alison Moyet, that I remember, I love them too. I didn't get my love of classical from her (she lived Richard Clayderman, not me, give me Beethoven any day!) xomo

I have to say I know nothing of Bette Midler other then the film "The Rose" which was Janis Joplin, but, Maureen, your words are where they are meant to be. Perhaps I'm totally off, but I gathered that the "mother" was the original, and that the others were copies. Simply flip and play them over and they will duplicate as infinidem; until a divine madness may be reached (?)

My Mum would play random stations on the radio. We didn't get a stereo until 1971, but it was quadraphonic with an 8 track player. I did the same as you but with Zappa's "Apostrophe" 8 track.

Totally off, but delightfully so. Mother as positive role model... I was eight, very formative time to latch onto something. It was that concert album and Kate Bush's Never Forever that I drove mum crazy with, over and over and over...

LP use to be plastic with a needle a 38 or 78 singing songs with scratches playing along, lol young you maybe but you do have a GREAT harmony, 1980 was long ago for me enjoy the greatness that use to be. Wonderful my friend your written word is magic!!
