Curlicues and Squiggles

~ Curlicues and squiggles ~ A skywriter flew by He drew a straight line I looked up with a sigh What if the writing were mine I'd draw curlicues jagged lines and squiggles Loop-di-loops with corkscrews lithe wiggles and jiggles I'd fill up the sky with all sorts of shapes Apes in red capes and bunches of grapes to lure loners and lovers on fire escapes and behind nighttime drapes And then at the end when I'm near out of sky I'd draw a heart with an arrow that you and I'll ride

I would love to see you design the sky with " Apes in red capes and bunches of grapes"

Hey, Caren. Great idea. Tell you what, though. My aircraft AND skywriting instruments are on the blink. Why don't you go ahead and do it?! You can have all the credit too! ~ Grounded daredevil

You're firing on all cylinders with 'apes/capes/fire escapes' - then such a poignant end with 'almost out of sky' - I guess the sky's the limit! (sorry, couldn't resist!)

The sky's no limit for Super-Ape (the one in the red cape). He'll be the first contestant to break the tape! Smiles, Gershon

What a delightful read. What fun would it be to scribble in the sky ... imagine how many could view a poem at once and be amazed. Love this especially the ending. Gorgeous write Gershon :) hugs

Really appreciate your enthusiasm over the skywriting. It was a bit of serendipity to think about and write. Glad I got outside for a stretch today! :) Thank you so much, Sandy. Warmest wishes, Gershon
