Cuomo's Daily Update

Through it all, this crazy season, There has been one voice of reason: Andrew Cuomo, New York’s guv, A Democrat we all can love. He gives us info, up-to-date And all he does communicate Is done with calm and strength and flair; Nobody out there can compare. Yet he is not afraid to doubt The powers-that-be and call them out. He’ll challenge, criticize and fight When what he hears seems not quite right. To me, the most important thing Is not the data he does bring But rather how he gives us hope Without which, we could never cope.

Hi Ilene: A beautiful informative poem about Gov. Cuomo's message. Some states are forcing you to quarantine!

NYC has 2,000+ ventilators and Cuomo demands Trump send 30,000 more. California received 159, all broken! Imagine how different your life would be if Cuomo enforced quarantines, lockdowns and social distancing! Aloha! Rico (the captcha code is "PUA" the Hawaiian word for "flower" or "blossom". Happy spring!

I don't know Andrew but I greatly admired his father who was a similar voice of reason and leadership that helped us get through 9/11 in the midst of our collective fear and feelings of isolation, much like now. Lovely tribute, Ilene

what a lovely tribute Ilene, I am in awe of these people who are the voice of reason at times of such stress. I can imagine people looking up to guys like this as the did to Churchill in the war years:-) hugs Jan xx

I so agree with you Ilene. I don't live in NEW YORK (I live in Maryland), but I always stay tuned for his news conferences. He tells it like it is..and in his voice is the comfort of knowing someone with reassuring voice. I remember his Dad--he too spoke so eloquently. For me he is a national hero! Kudos to you for this tribute you wrote.
