Cumulus Rejoice

Most cherished of thoughts, ideas abloom,
spreading, expanding
Overcoming harsh crushing repression,
breaking loose into a fluffy
sacred cloud bound emancipation
Liberation! My spirit takes flight, light,
mellow, blithe and callow
No longer crushed prostrate
'neath the crushing tyranny of the basis gossip
I inhale an atmosphere crisp and fresh,
bounding upward, deep into the wide blue yonder
Grace most astounding ecstatic!
Voices mocking, condemning now stilled-upward
I soar toward a far more welcoming place than
I have ever known
Rejoice!

Robert, your choice for inspiration is a good one. Many of us look forward to late spring and summer because these clouds appear at that time and reflect the upward movement of air. I think you're absolutely right in that we need to stay positive and never let oppressors take that from us. Take care and smiles

With winter here, can spring be far behind...

Robert I appreciate your message in staying positive in the face of adversity when others impose negative innuendos and are careless and not tolerant of someone's thoughts and beliefs. Having a source through faith I a wonderful way to uplift your spirits when feeling the injuries of a verbal battle. Keep on that Spirit path that is more important than what anyone opinion has to say... Enjoy your weekend and take care...my friend...

Thank you for the Michael. Most of us do not realize the power we have to liberate our spirits in the face of other people's negative slings and arrows which we much suffer from time to time. Robert

I think of the saying "Find your voice" when I read this poem. We can't live with everyone else's expectations.

To quote Eleanor Roosevelt, Once we believe others negative opinion about us, we become slaves to those poeple. Personal integrity to our decencey is what matters most.

Favorite line "Liberation! My spirit takes flight, light," a Shakespearean tour de force ! Tom should love it, hoping he puts you on his list in contest! "mellow, blithe and callow" "Voices mocking, condemning now stilled-upward" !~ "We are the stuff that dreams are made on" Shakespear a midsummer's night's dream Faved

Sounds refreshing! One day the gates will open and the “hope”ful will find the everlasting rejoice beyond the pale.

Hope surly beats eternal in the human heart. By grace this hope will be consummated in the great merciful and living beyond. May God guide your way, Robert
