Cuckoo Clocks

Cuckoo clocks are quite ornate it is said

But those raucous squawks we suffer with dread

          Why could not its designer

Have found a bird much finer

Like a sweet trilling canary instead

Remember the song from the Sound of Music--the Cuckoo Song that the kids do at bedtime? You could replace the annoying song of the clocks and replace it with the VonTrapp's silly song. Hammerstein Cuckoo Clocks we can name them! Robt..u write a limerick as tho it were a wise ole Haiku...(hope that doesn't sound silly...but it's true!) Gwendolen

Yes, I agree. It is pretty funny when you think about it. No wonder we call strange crazy people cuckoos!!
