in burial shroud
she wrapped her sensual self
and placed in the tomb
unheard and unseen
tears transformed to crystal shards

Excellent tanka with an exquisite yet sorrowful rendition. The shroud hides beauty, unseen yet sensed; the crystal shards will melt in time and the ache will heal. hugs // paul

A very good one with the imagery. Eileen. I have yet to try one of these. I think Rick will love this one.

Hugs are always accepted. I'm a very warm huggy person. Thanks, Richard. I had such a lovely day today. We went out with my brother and his wife and a friend from Canada. We went to this quaint restaurant in one of the Lebanese villages. How can I describe the beauty of the stone structure. It was all decked out for Valentine's Day. It was raining. The clouds were dark and OH...it was so romantic! Plus...I got such lovely compliments!!! When I was taking a pic with hubby, Charles leaned in and said, "Pictures don't do justice to you." Isn't that sweet? Also...earlier, as I was getting into the car....all dolled up for the outing, he looked as said: "You are a vision!" Isn't that sweet? My daughter told my hubby, "Daddy, why don't you tell Mama things like that!" ;) He's the one who called me Pudding. Well, it was a lovely day!!! Hugs

From flesh to freedom...from tears to truth...from tomb to youthful terrain you emerge, without shroud, without damage, and your beauty be absolute in my eyes Eileen...J.A.B.

What can one say my true enchantress, your words weave a spell of beauty and sorrow. You have placed me in the tomb along side your sad "unheard and unseen" lady. I weep to see the crystal shards she has shed, so alone. This is perfection of form! You leave me speechless. Love Shane xxx

This spoke to my heart . . . many types of tears, but these tears that transform into crystal shards . . . are painfully sharp and flow from a pierce heart, my heart . . . but once buried . . . they will transform again into morning shafts of light that no tomb can hold . . . that is my prayer, the power of these types of tears . . . a wonderful heartache of a poem! 7

What a wonderful visit, David. You have nourished my soul with your kindness and love. Morning shafts of light that no tomb can hold....David...this is the making of a poem. You need to transform your post into a poem. It would be so encouraging and uplifting. I know that it has uplifted my spirit. HUGS to you, my dear.....XO
