Crying Wolf

This mind is forever desolate, lost within the tides
Peace of mind I have never known
Find me among dripped tears
Follow crimson footsteps that lurk under
closed doorways
Locked knobs to keep the world at bay
Don't help, Don't fix me
You listened behind those hinges
I thought the noise was stuck in my head,
Dreams that echoed into reality
The screams were this hidden voice that bellowed
Lying that I am fine
I've tried, I've tried
I feel so empty, lost
I want to let go
But who believes a crying wolf.

I can feel the angst in your words. A powerful write! If this is how you feel I hope you found release in writing and know that I believe the crying wolf. Hugs
