Cry
I cry tears of blood for you today
Tears for the land that disregards my race
I too cried for the freedom from opression
Yet defeated I cry for the land gaining media attention
What no one knows is how fickle you have become
Monetary gain being your solitary game
Why subjugate me to renewed oppression
When like you I too suffered
All because I do not fit the mould
Yet strived I did holding hands for our freedom
Now you abandon me simply because I'm me
I cant choose my hue just like you
Blood flows in me same as in you
Apartheid symbolised Black oppression
Yet now affirmative action is the same mission!
Heartbroken I cry tears of blood today
For my beautiful country that has forsaken me
My cries lie unheard and my worth is unfit
For the hue you see . . . I do not fit
