Cruise Wish

Elated by the thought that soon my love would come,
I sat on a bench admiring the cruise liners sailing by
Wondering when we could one day go on such a trip.
Then she arrived, and poor as we were, we uttered a sigh.

Better to have sighed together and never to have gone on a trip, than to go on one alone. Dirt poor-filthy rich, if you're truly in love consider that your ship has sailed in! This truly is a fav.

Awe, a sweet poem. Love it... Roper always said I couldn't take a boat trip it would really mess my equilibrium. So, I've never been on a cruise. Blessings my friend. Once again you will be

- I admired the cruise ships from my living room window every day this summer ... but, I have no desire for a trip ... a trip does not cost that much today ... most people can ... back in time it was only for "rich people" :) - hugs // Anne-Lise :)

Hold fast to your dreams. If not today, perhaps they'll come true tomorrow. Lovely poem. :)

That was us for quite awhile. Our kids asked why didn’t you bring us…we tell them, now we have a little money. ;) I enjoyed your poem - its bittersweet!

Victor! I hope all is OK and your health is getting better. Your poem had a powerful emotional impact on me, and I echo what Valsa said, it's not time for you to go.

It does not hurt to dream because who knows what the future can or will hold. I always told my children, we can't afford that today, but maybe next month or the next. That gave us hope that we can get it at some time. Your visit to my page was interesting. Sara
