Crucified With Christ

LXXXV What means that I with Christ be crucified? With insufficiency the cross I bear? Or else be yoked together by his side? And follow in his footstep everywhere? How may I drive the nails by mine own hand? Impossible and yet it must be done So deep a paradox to understand Myself I put to death live by his Son Each day I live by faith and not with sight He gives me grace to overcome my will To mortify my sad and selfish life That others find what only God could fill The power of a life that’s crucified Is seen when Christ alone be glorified
