Crow Pose

Last night I tried the crow pose.
Have you ever heard of those?
I laugh to think as I recall
the tumble that led to a fall.

First you squat down to the floor,
then separate your knees some more.
Next you put your hands in prayer,
'tween those extended legs there.

When comfortable it's time to plant
your hands in front as you begin to pant.
The hands are now the feet of the crow.
Take a breath then over you go.

You lift one foot then the other.
That is where I got into bother.
My bum refused to leave the ground.
More like a duck's ass I found.

If you try yoga you might also find
it's the funniest way to unwind.

Now there's a pose I definitely couldn't hold, Jean. Had a great laugh trying to imagine someone doing it. Congratulations on your top win in Nina's contest! Best wishes for the holidays, Carolyn

:) ... I truly have balance problems from single side hearing.. so if I had to take a Sobriety Test they would have to take me in for a DWI or something because they would have to catch me falling.

You're making me laugh at that thought Eve... One other time, after dining with wine, I fell on my behind. I gave it after that....the yoga I mean.

Hi Line! how have you been? My two younger daughters are heading to Vancouver in the New Year. They plan to be gone for a least a year. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth on my part. I always say Quebec is by far the best part of my visit to Canada long ago. Those lovely coloured houses in comparison to gray Calgary. Oops...I hope no one from Calgary sees this...

Jan you are so good to always support me this way, even when I lose my voice. I have hit wall this past couple of months. All the more special and encouraging to receive this place in the top three today. Note to self....must try harder!!

Ha ha ha A delightful read I must concede, until the crow's pose I tried, although made lame, my laugh became much more bona fide! Love it, Jean. :) Congrats! ~ Artsie

OMG Jan, I'm the granny of the class. The instructor kindly allows me to balance against the wall. Otherwise, they would probably have to call an ambulance for multiple injuries.
