It was revealed that crows can remember the human faces who capture them. According to a study published in the journal Animal Behaviour, ravens which include crows, jays, and magpies, have the ability to hold grudges for up to two years.

A wonderful Haibun. Crows are revengeful, and their grudge is handed down from generation to generation, never cross a crow, for generations down the line, they remember and their wrath will show. A clever write Lesaad, Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

I concur with this opinion.... ! My son was only three when he picked up a dead crow from the compound unwittingly. It was seen by a crow. Soon a murder of crows surrounded him. Dropping the dead, he ran back home. But the sad thing was that the crows would swoop down and peck him whenever he got out of the house. This continued for almost a year and it vexed us greatly.
