Crossed Wires and Missed Chances

I thought you abandoned me; That you left when you had the chance; I know now what I then didn’t see; Silent suffering is a complicated dance. I was hurt and angry then; I loved you more than I knew; but I won’t make the same mistake again; Please tell me there is something I can do. Even angry I missed you dearly; I couldn’t imagine life without you; Now that I finally see clearly; I know neither could you. My life moved on without you; At least, that’s what I said; Now I know you missed me too; I could never get you out of my head. When we parted, I was devastated; That’s when I knew it to be true; Reunited once again I’m elated; For I had fallen in love with you.
