CROSS COUNTRY CHASE

The Three C’s, Can, Comfort and Chose
Highways being the direction
America’s find the destination
The journey a selection
From Turnpike routes after another
None like the other
From New York City aiming for the West Coast
Something to boast
Venturing through the mountains and America’s frontier
It’s all about driving and preserver
Climbing compelling hills onward and downward
Exciting views to the valleys below
Skillful and taking it slow
Major cities discoveries
Back roads of towns being mysteries
Nonetheless the roots of America

Midwest later awakened
Chicago the place
Windy at that
Exploring in fact
Onward we go
Further and further a drive
Overnight here and there
Restful and peaceful
Promises to see
Venture and journey having names parallel all their own
Picturesque full blown

If I didn’t travel wouldn’t have known
Almost to Los Angeles
Soon will arrive
Early afternoon, arrived in Los Angeles
In sight standing tall
Hollywood that centers around
True getaway with no stress
Just enjoy, embrace and take it all in
Here and Now
Oh wow
Will send a postcard when settled at the hotel
Arrived safe
Los Angeles look out
Intend to see what you have to offer me
Plenty to see
It’s just you and me.
