Crimson Leaves

Walking across a footbridge, strewn with crimson leaves,
    I watch as they twirl and pirouette in Autumn's chill wind
leading them in a rhythmic dance that it skillfully weaves
   as they plummet, leaving branches naked and chagrinned.
