Cries of Eyes

Night by night
I cry myself to sleep
But my worried eyes
Some how don't get to wink.

Deep in mind and in soul
Lies the pain that fills
These empty holes.

I cross my heart
And hope to die
That someday there will be
A twinkle in my eye

Morning comes and this time
I awake to see that sparkle
Within my eye it winks.

No longer in these empty holes
Is the pain for deep in mind and in soul
Is the twinkle of my own.
