Line Gauthier Poet Free verse

Creole Catfish Stew

Chilled white wine
A glass for the chef

Creole seasonings
A meal in a dish
A Southern delight

Chunks of catfish fillets
Corn and lima beans
Simmering till sublime

Gather around
If spicy stew's what you want
Help yourself

Cayenne pepper
Tabasco sauce
There’s even a bit of wine left
