Credit For the Heart
I have lots of precious mementos and artifacts
probably unlike any that you have,
I don’t have them on display in cases or framed
all became mine without cash, only with credit.
the best part is I don’t have to pay any back
there was never any signature or demand note
such treasures were given and buried
it was secrets that I was told and never disclosed
stored in a vault in my heart and remained asleep
undisturbed for the sake of those who trusted me
when you buy things on credit you have to pay back
when you hold those trusted secrets it credits your heart
