Creature Inside

Somewhere under the rainbow,
somewhere deep deep down
lives a creature.

Thousands of years old,
Thousands of years under its skin,
Thousands of blind eyes blinking
in the dark.
Thousands of breaths
in and out,
thousands of beats
of a half broken heart
slowly awakening
slowly waking
the creature inside.

Cracking sounds
of the dust in its bones
it's moving forward.

Somewhere under the rainbow,
somewhere deep deep down
in the cave it feeds.
Feeds on our darkness,
the bad sides bad deeds.
It feeds.

It follows the sounds
of doubt and fear
always forward
until it is here
in our dreams.

Somewhere under the rainbow,
somewhere deep deep down,
there it sits waiting
waiting for us
to show him the sun.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

So mysterious, I like it. Reminds me of Ed Sheeran's song I see Fire from The Hobbit Desolation Smaug which I love :)
